All you need to know...
The price includes use of studio, easels, basic materials (charcoal, pencils, pastels) and paper. If you work in any particular media, you may wish to bring your own. The fee also includes the services of a life drawing model for every workshop session as required. Most artists recognise that if you can draw life, you can draw anything! But if you'd prefer not to draw the model, there is always the house and grounds to paint and draw, and there will be organised trips out to locations to draw "plein air". |

Please feel free to ask other questions, and besides answering you personally, we'll add some of them on here to help others too. |
What is the artist/model ratio?
To ensure everyone has a chance to draw or paint what they want, we will supply one model for every eight artists maximum. We need just a minimum of 4 artists to run the holiday, whilst the maximum is probably around 20 - but if you have more in your group, just let us know and we'll see what we can do! Yes if your group is more than eight, your leader comes free. (Although they still have to pay their fares, accommodation and food!) We like beginners as we find it so rewarding to see them develop skills they never knew they had! But we also welcome professional artists too. On the contrary, the leaders are there to help as much or as little as you want, but the best way to learn, improve and enjoy your art is to just do it and like everyone we learn from our mistakes. Exactly! A workshop is where you experiment and try new things and if something works that's great! Of course and obviously there's no charge for them, all they pay is their accommodation etc., and if they decided they wanted to join in, they'd just have to pay for each session they came to. | ||
